Don’t feed birds!Â
There seems to be a growing peacock problem in some Southern California neighborhoods.
A massive increase in numbers of the brightly colored - but noisy - birds have pushed Los Angeles County officials to issue a warning: stop feeding them.
The LA County Board voted unanimously earlier this month to ban feeding the peafowl that roams the streets. (Peafowl refers to both female and males, peacocks are technically just males)
Getting caught feeding them could result in a $1,000 fine or up to six months in prison.
Resident complaints about peafowl property damage have also spiked in recent years.
