After the digital currency Bitcoin slumped over the weekend, fans of the spoof cryptocurrency Dogecoin want to make today, April 20th, Doge Day.Â
Bitcoin was trading at more than 56-thousand-600 dollars Monday, down from more than 63-thousand last Thursday.Â
Dogecoin was up 24-percent, to 37 cents Monday morning, and fans hope to push the price to 42 cents today.Â
That would coincide with today being 4/20, the unofficial holiday celebrating marijuana.Â
That's not all the Doge army wants.
Over 140,000 people have signed a petition asking Amazon to accept Dogecoin as a payment method. With all the hype and support it's been getting, it doesn't seem farfetched.Â
