Tom Brady Speaks Out About Leaving Patriots & Signing w/ Tampa Bay!

Wild Card Round - Tennessee Titans v New England Patriots

Earlier this week it came out that Tom Brady would officially be leaving The Patriots. Then rumors came out that he would be signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

And for the first time since the rumors Tom has posted on Instagram signing his new contract!!

Tom said

"Excited, humble and hungry ...if there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that...you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day. I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the@buccaneersfor giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me...I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so I’m not gonna say much more - I’m just gonna get to work!#Year1p.s. Dallas Cowboys v New England Patriots

Well now there are rumors going around that New England's coach Bill Bellichick actaully offered up Tom to the 49ers. The story goes like this...

Before the trade deadline in 2017, the 49ers General manager John Lynch called Bill and joklingy asked about Tom Brady. BUT apparently that's not what happened! Apparently John Lynch called Bill to ask about Jimmy Garoppolo (who eventually went to the 49ers) But Bill offered up Tom Brady!

Apparently Bill was more interested in keeping Jimmy since he was younger and wanted to grow another dynasty. But changed his mind and offered up Jimmy to John!

So apparently this got back to Tom Brady and his relationship with Bill and Robert Kraft hadn't been the same since then and this really lit a fire under his ass. Yahoo sports said

"Brady, fueled by Belichick's desire to ditch him for Garoppolo, took the Patriots to two more Super Bowls, winning one. All the while, the legendary quarterback restructured his deal, so the Patriots wouldn't be able to franchise tag him and he'd be free to leave."

This is why it's not always about winning, it's not always about money, it's about being somewhere where you feel apprecaitedI kind of wondered why Tom would leave and wouldn't want to stay with the team, but it just shows it's not always about money, wins or rings, it's about being somewhere you feel appreciated and happy!
